A bit of a bummer news update but big enough to get a posting as word is now going around about Bandai Entertainment to stop the release of DVDs, Blur-Rays and Manga.
Care of Anime News Network:
Bandai Entertainment, the subsidiary of Namco Bandai Holdings (USA) that handles anime and manga in North America, will stop offering new DVD, Blu-ray Disc, and manga releases next month. It will continue to distribute in its existing catalog lineup, but it will no longer produce and distribute new releases as of this February.
Instead, Bandai Entertainment will focus on licensing rights to other companies, particularly in digital distribution, broadcast, and merchandising. The company will be restructured as a result, and most of its contractors and three of its five fulltime staff members will be laid off. ANN will publish an interview with Bandai Entertainment President and CEO Ken Iyadomi on Tuesday.
Now, how does this effect us Gundam fans, well because this is on the "cancel" list of releases:

Just a quick note that I've posted my recap for GundamAGE episode 1 in the GundamAGe show section. You can find it here or just by hitting the GundamAGE show page. Would have had it up yesterday but with it being thanskgiving for me and all I got stuck with that.
No word on when or if there will be screencaps. Right now the program I use doesn't work too well so unitl I can find a replacement we're kinda going without. If you have any siggestions/ideas for a replacement feel free to let me know.
Anyway, happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it.

Just a quick note/reminder that GundamAGE begins airing in Japan on October 9. We have an episode discussion thread on the forum for those who have seen in and wish to share their thoughts on it. You can find the thread right here.
