Turn-A Gundam

 

1999 was the 20th anniversary of gundam. Bandai wished to celebrate this by putting out a new series and Turn-A Gundam was it. An alternate universe series that takes place in the distant future it also contends that all the time lines (UC and AU) are tied together with this being the end of the line.

In this future Earth has fallen back to very early 20th century and when the people of the moon and colonies come to settle on earth, the terrans fight back using ancient mobile suits and the Turn-A. As we follow through the 50 episodes of this series we learn with the various characters what happened in the past and that perhaps it was best to leave some things buried and hidden.

With its unique Gundam design and different take on things, Turn-a Gundam is equally loved and hated by the fanbase and to this day is the source for many debates and disagreements on message boards large and small.
