Episode 7: Prepare To Fight! The Striving Escapist!
Two kids in the Neo Mexico colony look out a window at the ocean on Earth. The boy tells his sister, Gina, that when they grow up they'll be fishermen on Earth, just like their grandfather. Domon walks through a market in Neo Mexico, and is followed by Vannie, one of Chibodee Crockett's girls. Domon shows an old merchant the picture of Kyoji, and asks him if he has seen any Gundam Fighters. The merchant tells Domon that he will only get the cold shoulder, as the people in the area only want to live peacefully. As Domon walks away he is followed by a large man. The man shoots Domon with a tranquilizer dart. Vannie loses sight of where Domon has gone. On the deck of a yacht, men in suits talk while Chibodee lays on a beach chair and sips at a drink. Vannie reports in that Domon has vanished, and the men in suits speak of how numerous Fighters have recently vanished, and feel that it must be the work of a man named Chico. The man, Chico, sets Domon down at the edge of a cliff, and is about to push him off when he is stopped by his sister Gina. Chico tells Gina that since she is sick she should not be out. He also says that in order to survive they must eliminate their opponents. Domon wakes up and attacks Chico, but Chico shoots him with another tranquilizer. Chico is stopped once more from killing Domon by Gina. In his sleep Domon relives the moments of his mother's death and Kyoji's betrayal. He awakens in the house of Chico and Gina. Domon is then contacted by Rain on the radio. She tells him that Chico became a Gundam Fighter to leave the colony and live on Earth. However, Chico is being hunted by the Neo Mexicans for desertion. The next morning, Gina begs Domon not to fight her brother. When Chico returns, Domon challenges him. Gina continues to ask the two not to fight, but collapses from her illness. Domon and Chico take her in to town to get help. They cannot get very far into town, as patrolls wander around in search of Chico. The merchant from earlier offers to take care of Gina. Rain, who is a qualified doctor, comes to the merchants house and takes a look at Gina. Outside the room, Domon and Chico wait in the hall. Domon looks out the door to see Chibodee Crockett and the Gundam Maxter. When he turns around, Chico is gone. Chico sneaks through the crowd and is about to shoot Chibodee with a dart when he is stopped by Domon. Chibodee spots Domon, and the Neo Mexican official orders the troops to open fire on Chico. When Chico and Domon return to the merchant's house, they are told that Gina is gone. Chico tells Rain and Domon that Gina only had one year left in her life, and they wanted to spend it living out their childhood dream. This is why Chico ran from all challenges. Chico figures that Gina went to their home, so he, Domon, and Rain get in his truck and head there. However, they are spotted and followed by the Neo Mexican official. Chico spots Gina on the side of the road and pulls over. The Neo Mexican official and his troops quickly arrive and put Chico under arrest, and demand him to return the Tequila Gundam. Chico is motivated by Domon to fight, rather than to run away. Chico jumps in the water and enters his Gundam. Domon does the same. Before the fight can begin, they are attacked by amphibious mobile suits. Chibodee, in the Gundam Maxter, eliminates the mobile suits, and says that he is Domon's opponent. Domon says that the Gundam Fight is one-on-one, and begins his fight with Chico. As the Tequila Gundam lunges, Domon cuts off its arms. Chico orders Domon to finish him off, so Domon destroys the Tequila's head with the Shining Finger. As the Tequila Gundam sinks into the ocean, Rain reports that Chico Rodriguez was accidentally killed in battle. The Neo Mexican official acknowledges that Chico fought honorably for Neo Mexico. With Chico's "death", he is now free to do as he wishes since a fighter killed in battle cannot be targeted by the government. Gina sits on the beach, crying, as Chico emerges from the water. At sunset, the two sit in a boat out on the water. Chico says that he has been reborn in the ocean, and Gina feels that she can also be reborn, out on the ocean.
