Episode 6: Fight Domon! The Earth is the Ring!
As the episode opens, Domon is drinking tea on a porch with an old man. Domon wonders where Rain is, when the old man informs him that Rain will not be joining them. Domon falls over, as the drugged tea begins to take effect. A battle is then shown, as dozens of mobile suits open fire upon a massive mobile fighter, the Devil Gundam, sitting in a lake of lava. The Devil Gundam shoots all the opposing mobile suits down with fireballs. Then, one year later, General Karato and Commander Urube drive down a road very close to where the incident happened. They want to keep secret from the other colonies what happened. The two stop at a house and enter. Domon, in his family's house in the colony, is awakened by his older brother Kyoji. He is happy to see his mother and father at his side. Karato and Urube sit in a room with a monitor, showing the inside of the Kasshu house. Karato is concerned that it is against the rules for a Gundam Fighter to leave Earth during the Gundam Fight, but Urube tells him that this test is necessary to see if Domon is the one that can solve their problems. Domon steps out to see Rain on the front porch of her house. The two return to Domon's house for dinner. During the meal, Domon's father and Kyoji inform Domon that their mobile fighter is completed. Rain walks out, and cries at how cruel the treatment of Domon is. Domon is then seen sitting by himself in the middle of an abandoned house, talking to people that aren't actually there. Karato, watching from his monitor, says that the test is successful so far. Rain then runs down the street to her father. Rain feels that Domon will be hurt terribly by this, but her father tells her that it is necessary so as ensure Domon's success in the Gundam Fight. Domon, Kyoji, and their parents are standing in the room with the Gundam that they built. Kyoji says that this Gundam will determine the fate of mankind. Suddenly, troops storm in the room. The man in command of the troops says that Kyoji and his father are under arrest for rebelling against the country. He then goes on to say that the two plan to use the Gundam as a weapon against the Earth and the colonies, ultimately to dominate mankind. Kyoji then begins to laugh, and is surprised at how fast the word has gotten around. Kyoji informs Domon that what the man says is true. Kyoji tells his father that the Gundam is already under his control. Kyoji snaps his fingers, and has the Devil Gundam fire on the troops. Kyoji's mother begs him to stop. The commander of the troops takes a shot at Kyoji, but misses and hits his mother. Domon cries out as his mother falls to the ground. Kyoji enters the Devil Gundam and leaves. Domon is then in the cemetery where his mother is buried. Rain's father says that the incident was simulated as accurately as possible, as Domon was not there when it actually happened. He brings Domon to his father, who was sentenced to be frozen for eternity for his crimes. Urube says that it was all they could do to avoid the death sentence. They then inform Domon that the Devil Gundam has landed somewhere on Earth. Even though it would have take damage on impact, the Devil Gundam has the ability to regenerate itself. Rain's father estimates that it will take one year for the Devil Gundam to completely heal. Karato is unconvinced that Domon has what it takes to beat the Devil Gundam, so he tests Domon by putting him in the middle of the battle that happened one year ago. It is a real battle, but a mobile armor is given the illusion of being the Devil Gundam. At first Domon does not want to fight his brother, but then he remembers the death of his mother and in his rage the Shining Gundam glows gold, and transforms into Super Mode. Domon destroys the mobile armor with a massive sword attack called the Shining Finger Sword. Domon tells Karato not to try any more games. He then vows to defeat his brother and the Devil Gundam. Then, along with Rain, Domon heads back to the earth.
