Information: The version of the Zaku II used mobile suit in Gundam 0083 is the MS-06F2. It's used by the Earth Federation, Duchy of Zeon, and the Delaz Fleet. This Type F2 version is improved over its predecessors in many ways. It is lighter, more fuel efficient, and has better overall armor. This Type F2 is an overall better Zaku, and it stands up to the Federation more effectively due to its changes. This version was captured from the Zeon by the Federation. It gave the Federation a good idea of Zeon's technology when captured, so it let them have the upper hand. They were mostly used to test against the Federation's new weapons, since, they could see if the Zaku can keep up. An example of this is in the beginning of Gundam 0083 where two Zaku II's are trying to keep up with the improved GM.
